Leslie Rush

Leslie Rush is an engaging and supportive teacher who enjoys motivating her students to progress at their own pace.  She shares her love and enthusiasm for music with students, and works to create a safe space for her students to learn, master, and enjoy building versatile skills on the instrument of their choice. 

A Board-Certified Music Therapist, Leslie holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Maryville University of St. Louis, a Bachelor of Music Business from Millikin University. She has been teaching private piano lessons for over ten years.  She also enjoys singing, guitar, and French horn.

Leslie teaches in San Rafael, Novato, American Canyon and Benicia.  

Steve Hardy

Steve Hardy teaches guitar, ukulele, voice and beginning piano. A Master’s Level, Board Certified Music Therapist, Steve holds a Masters Degree in Expressive Therapies (Music Therapy Tract) from Lesley University and a Bachelors of Psychology from the University of Maine. Steve studied voice professionally and has performed in a wide range of choral groups and theater productions. He plays guitar and piano and has experience in facilitating drum circles, doing GIM (Guided Imagery with Music), psychodrama, drama therapy and a variety of intermodal expressive therapy processes. He currently co-hosts the monthly Lamorinda Drum Circle. 

Kathy Quain

Kathy Quain is passionate about empowering lives through music. Her piano studies started at the age of five in Seoul, South Korea. Founder of Marin Music Lessons and Music For Therapy, she is a trained Orff Music Education Specialist, Remo-Endorsed Drum Circle Facilitator and a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She holds a Masters of Music Education in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas and a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University. She enjoys performing an array of music from classical to pop, improvising and playing ukulele. She has hosted Health Rhythms Drum Circles at Kaiser Permanente and currently co-hosts the monthly Lamorinda Drum Circle.
