Whether your student is ready to dive into fast learning or needs a slow steady pace, we are experienced in setting the best pace for one's learning and love of music.
Leslie Rush is an engaging and supportive teacher who enjoys motivating her students to progress at their own pace. She shares her love and enthusiasm for music with students, and works to create a safe space for her students to learn, master, and enjoy building versatile skills on the instrument of their choice.
A Board-Certified Music Therapist, Leslie holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Maryville University of St. Louis, a Bachelor of Music Business from Millikin University. She has been teaching private piano lessons for over ten years. She also enjoys singing, guitar, and French horn.
Leslie teaches in San Rafael, Novato, American Canyon and Benicia.
Kathy Quain is passionate about empowering lives through music. Her piano studies started at the age of five in Seoul, South Korea. Founder of Marin Music Lessons and Music For Therapy, she is a trained Orff Music Education Specialist, Remo-Endorsed Drum Circle Facilitator and a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She holds a Masters of Music Education in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas and a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University. She enjoys performing an array of music from classical to pop, improvising and playing ukulele. She has hosted Health Rhythms Drum Circles at Kaiser Permanente and currently hosts the monthly Lamorinda Drum Circle at Lamorinda Music and the Lanikai Ukulele Meetup at Bananas at Large music store in San Rafael.
